Who We Are

Oceancare Mediclinic Diagnostic Centre & Clinic, led by Dr. Krantiveer Kale, is a registered, DG Approved diagnostic centre operating as a friendly neighbourhood clinic in Sai Chamber, Sector 11, CBD Belapur. We were founded with one simple belief: the people who keep world trade moving — India's seafarers — deserve medical care that is as disciplined, punctual and dependable as they are.

Every year thousands of officers and ratings pass through Navi Mumbai on their way to ships across the globe. Before any of them can sign on, they need a statutory medical fitness examination conducted at a centre approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping / DGMA India). That is exactly what we do — thoroughly, transparently and without unnecessary delays.

Vision, Mission & Values

Our vision is simple to state and demanding to live by: to be the medical centre India's maritime industry trusts by default — the name a master recommends to his cadet, and a fleet manager writes into company policy.

Our mission is to make the mandatory medical the easiest part of a seafarer's joining formalities — combining modern diagnostics, honest clinical judgement and same-day digital reporting under one roof, without ever compromising the standard the certificate represents.

Our values read like a ship's standing orders, because that is where we learned them:

• Integrity of the certificate. A fitness certificate is a safety document. We certify what the evidence shows — nothing more, nothing less. That is why our paper is respected.
• Respect for the seafarer's time. Punctual appointments, single-visit completion, same-day reports. We treat a joining date the way you treat a sailing time.
• Clinical candour. If something needs attention, you hear it from us first, clearly, with a practical route back to fitness.
• Continuous audit. As an ISO 9001:2015, 45001:2018 and 14001:2015 certified unit, every process we run is documented, measured and independently audited.

• Reports by email: certificates and records shared securely with you and, on request, your crewing or manning office.
• Community care: beyond seafarers, we provide health checkups for individuals, families and employers across Navi Mumbai.

Our Team

Established on 18 August 2023 and co-founded by Dr. Krantiveer Kale, Oceancare Mediclinic brings together specialists across every discipline a marine medical demands — with doctor consultation available 24 × 7.

Confidentiality, Privacy & Secure Data Management

A medical record tells the most personal story a seafarer has — and careers can turn on how carefully that story is kept. We treat confidentiality as a clinical duty, not a courtesy.

• Strict medical confidentiality. Examination findings are discussed with you, privately, before anyone else. Results are released to employers or manning agents only with your consent or where the law and DGMA regulations require it — never casually, never verbally in a waiting room.
• Secure digital records. Reports and certificates are stored on access-controlled systems, transmitted through encrypted email channels, and shared only with verified recipient addresses confirmed at registration.
• Regulatory-grade data handling. Statutory records are maintained and uploaded to the DGS electronic system exactly as the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules prescribe — with retention, correction and access managed under our ISO 9001:2015 audited procedures and the spirit of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
• Discretion in sensitive results. Screening outcomes (including HIV and drug panels) are handled under counselling-first protocols, with results conveyed directly and privately to the seafarer concerned.
• Psychometric privacy. AI-based 16 PF assessment reports are released only to the candidate and the commissioning party named in advance — profiles are never reused, resold or benchmarked across companies.

Our Medical Examiner

Dr. Krantiveer Kale leads every seafarer medical examination conducted at Oceancare Mediclinic. His practice is built around maritime occupational health — the particular physiology of watchkeeping, the realities of engine-room noise and galley hours, and the exacting standards a flag state expects behind every signature. Seafarers leave his consulting room knowing exactly where they stand and why; companies receive certification they can defend in any audit, anywhere.

Under his direction the clinic has also pioneered an AI-based 16 PF psychometric assessment for crew and officers — bringing the same objectivity we apply to blood counts and audiograms to the human factors that decide promotions, team fit and command readiness.
