Use this checklist before your pre-sea or renewal medical so nothing delays your certificate. Every test below is performed in-house at our CBD Belapur centre.
Pre-Sea Examination Checklist
- Height, weight, BMI & blood pressure
- Distant, near & colour vision (Ishihara)
- Pure-tone audiometry
- Spirometry (lung function)
- Complete blood count + blood group & Rh
- Blood sugar, lipid profile, LFT, KFT
- HIV I & II, HBsAg, Hepatitis C, VDRL
- Routine urine analysis + drug & alcohol screen
- Digital chest X-ray
- Resting ECG
- Ultrasonography — whole abdomen
- Psychological evaluation
Periodic (Renewal) Examination
- Height, weight & blood pressure
- Vision & hearing re-tests
- Blood glucose, liver enzymes, cholesterol, HIV screen
- Routine urine analysis
Special Cases
- Female seafarers: pregnancy screening (history + urine test)
- Over 65: add TMT (treadmill) & 2D Echo
Documents to Carry
- CDC & passport
- Previous medical certificate (renewals)
- Spectacles / contact lenses, if used
- Prescriptions & reports for any ongoing condition
